Private Label & OEM Silicone Manufacturing

WYD supports brands that need a custom silicone product developed, manufactured, branded and prepared for repeat supply.

Private label can mean two very different things: branding an existing or lightly modified product, or developing proprietary geometry that requires custom CAD and tooling. The quotation and lead time depend on which path the project needs.

Start a Private Label / OEM Project

Path 1 — Existing or Lightly Modified Product

Where a suitable existing product/platform is available, customization may include:

  • color
  • logo
  • packaging
  • label/barcode
  • instruction card
  • bundle/set configuration

Feasibility and MOQ depend on the product and customization.

Custom molded silicone products used in OEM and private-label programs

Path 2 — Fully Custom OEM Product

Custom OEM scope may include:

For proprietary geometry: Concept / CAD → DFM → Prototype → Production Tooling → First Article → Repeat Production.

WYD also offers RTV silicone mold making when the purchased item is the mold itself.

  • 3D/CAD development
  • tool design
  • HCR/HTV compression molding
  • LSR injection molding
  • overmolding
  • extrusion
  • custom silicone mold development
  • QC
  • packaging coordination

Branding Options

Depending on product/process:

  • molded logo
  • raised/recessed lettering
  • color matching
  • two-color design
  • printed marking
  • packaging artwork
  • labels/stickers
  • instruction cards
  • barcode labels
  • inserts
  • pre-kitting

Do not promise every decoration method for every silicone surface without review.

Color and decoration are recurring cost — put them on the RFQ.

Packaging

Possible project packaging may include:

  • polybag
  • carton
  • custom color box
  • kraft box
  • insert
  • label
  • barcode
  • instruction card
  • multi-piece kit

Packaging should be evaluated for both branding and deformation protection.

Tooling Ownership

If customer-paid production tooling is to be documented as customer-owned, state the agreed ownership terms clearly in the quotation/contract.

Do not rely on vague website language.

If the customer requests transferability, storage duration, maintenance responsibility or physical transfer of tooling, those terms should be agreed before the tooling PO.

OEM process still
Reorder control matters more than a catalog collage.

NDA / Confidentiality

WYD can review confidentiality requirements before the customer shares proprietary files. For sensitive projects:

  • execute NDA/NNN if agreed
  • restrict file access
  • use the files only for the project
  • clarify ownership of customer-supplied and customer-paid design outputs

Specific legal terms should be written in the signed agreement, not implied by website marketing.

What to Send

  • product reference / CAD
  • custom vs existing-product route
  • target quantity
  • annual volume
  • logo
  • Pantone/color
  • packaging requirement
  • destination
  • target market/documentation
  • target launch date
