Cacao-fruit chocolate tray: lock Shore A 10 and 20 mm height before multiplying cavities

The render looked like cacao. The tray still failed if the STL kept mesh bumps, the height drifted, or Shore A was copied from a stiffer food tray.

A sculptural chocolate cavity can look correct in CAD and still be hard to fill, demold, or brand if the height is wrong or the silicone is too stiff. This Canadian job used a cacao-fruit form. Approved records locked 90 x 35 x 20 mm, a 20 mm cavity height, and a very soft Shore A 10 sample tray. The STL was cleaned of unwanted bumps. Gypsum and silicone samples were reviewed before a paid 12-piece run.

We did not publish a cavity count. The archive does not lock one strongly enough. Unknown fields stay unknown.

What had to lock together

Organic cacao detail asked three questions at once: would Shore A 10 release without tearing the chocolate; was 20 mm the right height for volume and flex; were the STL bumps texture or mesh junk. Softer silicone helps demold, but a floppy tray still needs frame support if you fill hot chocolate or move the sheet.

Sequence on this job: clean the 3D file, approve geometry, then gypsum for shape, then silicone for feel. Length moved from an 85 mm discussion to 90 mm. Height stayed 20 mm. Those numbers belong to this design, not every chocolate tray.

What to send for a similar tray

  1. STL/STEP or a scan, plus target chocolate size and weight if you have them
  2. Required cavity height, preferred cavity count, max tray envelope
  3. Pour process and demold method; surface / logo notes
  4. Prototype qty and first production qty
  5. Food-contact document path for the destination market — docs depend on compound and use, not a factory sticker

FAQ

Is Shore A 10 the default for chocolate?

No. It was the sample reference on this organic fruit form. A depositor sheet or a taller cavity may need more support.

Can we copy 90 x 35 x 20 mm onto another SKU?

No. That envelope is the approved reference for this cacao-fruit design after an 85 mm discussion.

Why no cavity count on this page?

Photos are not a locked layout. We publish the envelope, height, Shore A 10, sample path, and the 12-piece run.

Send the STL and the height you actually need

If the fruit shape still has mesh bumps, we will say so before anyone multiplies cavities. Quote path from Bao'an after CAD lock.
